  • If you’re applying for an Australian visa, register for a TOEFL iBT test at a test center and the the Australian Department of Home Affairs doesn’t currently accept any English language tests that are taken at home, including the TOEFL iBT Home Edition. TOEFL iBT scores for test dates from July 26, 2023 to May 4, 2024 continue to not be accepted by the department for visa purposes.

You’ll need to demonstrate your English language skills to the Australian Department of Home Affairs for getting an Australian visa. TOEFL iBT is the best choice for this purpose. Just be sure to check the score requirements of the institutions where you’re applying — those requirements may be different than the student visa requirements.
